The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles presents the 126th Annual Golden Dragon Parade on March 22, 2025. This colorful celebration along North Broadway in Chinatown has become the premiere cultural event in the Southern California Asian-American Community.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Back to the Community.” It will highlight Chinese culture, local organizations, noted Chinese performers, and entrepreneurs.
Families, friends, and children of all ages will be cheering on the marching bands, kung fu performers, lion dancers, and the newly crowned 2025 Miss LA Chinatown with their Royal Court.

Celebrating the Year of Snake
Each year, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles hosts the Annual Golden Dragon Parade. With over a hundred thousand spectators and thousands more viewing the telecast on main stream TV such as NBC4, ABC7, and many online broadcast channels, this colorful celebration along North Broadway in Chinatown has become the premiere cultural event in the Southern California Asian-American Community.
The Lunar New Year is the most celebrated holiday of the year for approx. 1.5 million Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese people in Southern California. It is a cultural tradition when ancestors are fondly remembered, and families give thanks for their blessings. Red packets of money are given, families feast on special New Year's delicacies to promote fortune and health, and firecrackers add to the fun and excitement.
The Golden Dragon Parade — There are many amazing live performances, such as Lion Dance, dance troupes, music groups, and participation of government dignitaries, local business leaders, cultural groups, and much more. This year, the Parade is again supported by the Department of Cultural Affairs of City of Los Angeles.
The parade is a rich and diverse experience for all ages and ethnicities across Los Angeles and is supported in part by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Los Angeles.
Parade route: Hill Street at Temple toward Bernard. Right on Bernard, right on Broadway back to Broadway & Temple. Runs from 1-4pm.
Chinatown street closures information: Closures starts at 10 AM .
How to Get to Chinatown:
We advise everybody to take public transportation (e.g. LA Metro A Line, MetroLink, OC Transportation Authority, buses) or use rideshare transportation, such as Uber / Lyft , to Chinatown. Finding a space in any parking lot is an unlikely event.
From Orange County, Take Metrolink to the 125th Golden Dragon Parade:
Skip traffic & parking and find a great spot on the parade route. Only $10 and kids ride free!
Try to take public transportation
[It’s recommended to take public transportations such as Metro Gold Line, or ride-share transportation such as Uber or Lyft due to limited parking spaces in Chinatown.]
1. Take Metrolink’s Orange Line to LA Union Station
2. Transfer free to the Metro A Line with your Metrolink ticket
Take the Metro A Line towards APU/Citrus College and exit Chinatown Station
Walk west on College St. towards N. Broadway to the parade route
To return, take Metro A Line to L.A. Union Station and take Metrolink toward Oceanside
