Vivian Huang is a transformative Human Resources leader who believes that organizations thrive when their people do. As Director of Human Resources for the Cherng Family Trust—the family office guiding the financial, investment, and philanthropic vision of the Panda Express founders—she champions leadership development, people strategy, and organizational growth. Her work centers on building cultures where leaders are empowered, talent is nurtured, and individuals are inspired to realize their full potential.
With more than a decade shaping talent strategies in the financial sector, Vivian has redefined how companies attract, engage, and grow high-performing teams. At Bank of Hope, East West Bank, and CTBC Bank, she introduced innovative recruiting strategies, developed sustainable talent pipelines, and created opportunities for associates to rise into leadership. She is recognized for turning people planning into a strategic advantage—aligning talent with organizational goals while unlocking individual career growth.
Vivian earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Riverside, and further strengthened her expertise through certifications from the Society for Human Resource Management and Cornell University’s Strategic Human Resources Leadership program. Beyond her corporate role, she contributes her leadership to the community as a board member of the Korean American Coalition, advocating for empowerment, representation, and opportunity.
