􏰁 At least 25% Chinese Ancestry
􏰁 U.S. Citizenship or Proof of Legal Stay in the U.S.
􏰁 Resident of the Greater Los Angeles Area
􏰁 No current or previous felony or criminal charges, record, or act

HOW TO APPLY:

Complete the Application Form below and submit online. There is No Application Fee. And there is No Contestantd Fee if you were selected as a Contestant. Contestants are responsible for the costs of all outfits and hair .
Applicant must email the following documents to mrlac.chinesechamber@gmail.com with the subject line of “2024 MR. Los Angeles Chinatown Application: - [APPLICANT’S NAME]” within 3 days of the Application submitted:
- An 800-1000 word essay and a video of no more than 1 minute about yourself, and along with:
- A copy of the applicant’s California Driver’s License or Identification issued by DMV.
- One Headshot and One Full Person Photo
- Curriculum Vitae
Please save all files under Applicant Name, e.g. LeeJaneDoe-1, LeeJaneDoe-2.
Official Documentation Proof of the above facts must be available for verification upon request.
Application will not be processed unless the Application Fee and ALL of the documents are submitted.
Application Deadline: By 11:59 PM on December 31, 2023.
Application and materials submitted will become property of Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles and will NOT be returned.
Preliminary Interview: December 16, 2023 / January 6, 2023
Selection of contestants will take place exclusively by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles upon completion of Preliminary Interviews. Any and all contestant selection results will be deemed final.
Important Things to Remember:
- You will be notified via email within one week after the Preliminary Interview whether or not you have been successfully chosen and entered as a Contestant.
- Chosen Final Contestants must sign and agree to the terms stated in the Contestant Agreement. Refusal of signing and/or complying the Contestant Agreement is deemed as a voluntary withdrawal from the 2024 MR. LAC Contest.
- All outfits, hair and makeup will be responsible and to be provided by Constestant.
- Every contestant must attend all rehearsals, workshops, photo sessions, and promotional activities. Contestant winners are required to attend the Press Conferences, Fashion Show, Contest, Parade, Festival, Banquets, and any other activities scheduled and approved by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles. Failure to attend these events may jeopardize all the title terms and conditions.

PART F: Applicant's Statement

I, the undersigned, affirm that I am _______ years of age on the date of execution of this Agreement, and hereby apply to enter the 2024 MR. LAC Competition. I have read and understand each and every requirement stated herein this Application. If accepted, I will comply with all rules and regulations pertaining to said competition. The undersigned further agrees, if selected to enter as Contestant, to participate in ALL functions and promotional activities conducted by and managed by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles and to comply with all rules and regulations set forth for the contestants and title holders throughout the Chinese New Year Celebration and the titled year. In the event that I hold a current title from any other similar competition, I will provide Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles with a written consent from the Chairperson of that specific competition authorizing me to enter and participate in the 2024 Mr. LAC competition no later than one week after notification of acceptance and entry as a Contestant of 2024 MR. LAC competition. The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles reserves the right to modify, revise and / or cancel any rules and / or regulations when necessary at any time upon execution of this Agreement. I understand that if any contestant, including the undersigned, violates any rules and / or regulations and / or fails to provide all facts truthfully on the application, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles has the sole and absolute right to cancel my candidacy and / or any other candidacy in addition to the right to remove any title under the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles’s own discretion without further explanation. I further agree to hold the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles, its employees, directors, staff, agents, or in whatever capacity, free and harmless from any and all claims and liabilities for loss, damages, and / or injuries caused suffered by me at any given time and anywhere in connection with competition activities and / or during any of my participation in any and all activities and functions related to the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles.
