Kit Man Shum

Kit Man Shum is the Chief Consultant and Principal Administrator of DSC Laser & Skin Care Center, a comprehensive medical spa in San Gabriel, California, founded in 2005 with her husband, Tony K. Shum, MD. A Registered Cosmetician licensed by the California State Board, she is also the creator of the DSC skincare line, reflecting her lifelong passion for beauty, wellness, and skin health. She began her career in the beauty industry in 1987 and founded San Marino Enterprises, Inc. in 1991, which developed and distributed the DSC skincare line across the United States and later expanded to Asia. A recognized business leader, she received the 2016 Outstanding Achievement Award from the Global Federation of Chinese Business Women – Southern California Chapter.

For over 25 years, Kit Man has been deeply committed to community service. She has volunteered extensively with Herald Christian Health Center, where she now serves on the board of directors, and supports cancer patients through the Look Good Feel Better program as Southern California’s first bilingual Chinese-English volunteer makeup instructor. She also directs a portion of DSC proceeds to Chinese Christian Herald Crusades (CCHC), supporting orphanages and charitable health initiatives. Her professional expertise, leadership, and commitment to giving back have made her a respected figure in both the beauty industry and the wider community.
