Ada Wong

Ada Chan Wong has dedicated most of her life to serving the Asian American and local communities. Her unwavering support and involvement in numerous organizations reflect her deep commitment to advancing Asian American businesses, youths, and organizations in the broader community.

Ada was born in Hong Kong and immigrated to Los Angeles at only 28 days old. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Southern California.

Professionally, Ada was employed as a Sales Account Manager for Cathay Pacific Airways for almost 28 years until her early retirement. She was the first woman President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Los Angeles and then as Chairwoman of the Board for another 2 terms. She currently holds the title of Chair Emerita and is also a current board member. Ada is also an active member of the USC Arcadia Hospital Foundation, Arcadia High School Festival of Bands, Helping Hands and Church in the Park for the First Church of the Nazarene of Pasadena, Community Advisory Board of the Asian Youth Center and a Founding Member of the Global Council of the Asian Hall of Fame. She had also served on the President’s Council for the Chinese Garden at the Huntington Library, LA World Airport Council, Chinatown Service Center, Spiritual Care Guild of Children’s Hospital LA, Asian Business League, American Heart Association, and the USC Asian Pacific American Support Group.

For her contributions to the community, Ada has been honored by many organizations. A recipient of the Deborah Award from the Anti-Defamation League, Woman of the Year Award from the California State Assembly, Distinguished Citizen Award from the Boy Scouts of America, amongst many others.

In her free time, Ada enjoys pickleball, traveling, church, Bible Study, the theater, volunteering and as a loyal USC alumna, she still loves tailgating prior to the Trojan football games. Ada is married to her husband, Ed, and her children are Tiffany and Scott.
